This is my dear sweet Willow. She spent 13 years with me, and it just wasn't long enough. It never is. She was the best dog I have ever had, and I regret to share that I lost her this week. On the same day, I lost two hard drives with all my data on them. It hasn't been a very good week.

I will be taking some time off to grieve, and put my data back together. Stay well, and I will see you soon.

Oh sweetie I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I truly know this pain of losing an animal. To me my animals are my children, not just a pet. I had a friend that just lost a cat, and I was explaining to her that we never stop loving our animals, we learn to love them in a different way. Although their little shelles are not here, they live forever in our souls.

I know the loss of HD crashes, for me the serenity prayer comes to wonderful use at times as such.

My prayers are with you, come we will be here when u come back.

Sorry to hear about the passing of your dog. We know it's going to happen, but that doesn't make it any easier.
At least today, you can grieve but you do not have to suffer.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I am so very sorry for your loss.

This year, I too lost my beloved Astro, who was almost 13 years old. If you do not know the site, Rainbow Bridge, it is a wonderful place to find comfort and share your experiences and gain strength among those who have been in your position.

Sending you many hugs.

Thank you all for stopping by and lending your condolences and support. It has been a rough two weeks, and it means a lot to me to read all your good thoughts.

Willow was a very special dog, probably the finest, most regal poodle I have ever owned. I am not willing to experience the loss right now. I have completely shut down.......... I will grieve soon.

The thing I love about poodles is that under the froo froo hair lives an intelligent and companionable, friendly animal. The froo froo hair is just a fun plus. I'm sorry you lost Willow. She looked a lovely dog. I'm a pet person too.
